This month saw the appointment of a new Student Council. Candidates had to write a letter of application to the Principal, who checked with the class teacher to ensure they were of good character and work habits. Each Year 4-5 class is allowed two councilors. If more students nominated, then a secret show of hands by class members was used to vote for the representatives. In the second half of the year, some year 3 students will be introduced to the Council to experience their meetings.
