All Year 3 classes participated in a Science Fair on Tuesday 14 April as part of their Social Studies program. The children were required to demonstrate new scientific knowledge and skills that they had developed over the last term.
The children had fun in class experimenting with the world of scientific endeavour and were required to make science experiments to display and demonstrate at the Fair. They also had to prepare invitations for the Fair and posters to advertise the special event as well as prepare themselves to act as science “advisers” during the Fair when guests visited their display.
The Year 3 students showed great confidence and excitement when demonstrating and discussing their scientific exploits and had fun talking to the large and interested crowd of family visitors and SIS students that attended the Fair.
